Technical Designer/ Spec Writer Girls Division 4-6X; 7-16
Kids Clothing Manufacturer located in downtown L.A. has immediate opening for Technical Designer/Spec Writer.
Job Description:
Fit technician: Follow through with fittings and comments to final production stage (1st fit through TOP). Send email comments directly to overseas and domestic factories, for problems pertaining to samples, to customize fit and construction.
Other responsibilities include:
1. Set up Spec Sheets
2. Communicate with Asia and South American factories, Sales team and Buyers (on Private Label accounts)
3. Maintain buyers’ time & action calendar
4. Knowledge of Pattern making, kids market, fitting, fabric (knits and wovens), fabric shrinkage, garment construction, & garment specs and grading.
5. Work close with Designers and Pattern makers
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5+ years Apparel Industry experience
Proficient PC skills: MS Excel, MS word, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Outlook
Education:
AA Degree Fashion Design or related field
Compensation:
Salary based on experience
